I also serve as a Board Evaluator and provide Board Training for the Colorado Charter School Institute, and previously held the position of Community Superintendent for Charter Schools at Jefferson County Public Schools.
In my role, I supported leaders across 21 schools, providing educational mentorship that included coaching school leaders in planning, crisis support, and finances. I worked closely with boards on strategic planning and crisis management, overseeing charter applications, charter renewals, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and district reporting requirements.
I have also supported schools through challenging rescue situations, such as when leaders left mid-year, boards faced turmoil, parents threatened to protest on campus, and during other emergency situations.
As the Executive Director for Jefferson Academy and Summit Academy, I successfully hired 5 principals to manage both elementary and secondary responsibilities. I mentored 8 principals with varying levels of experience, from first-time leaders to highly experienced professionals, and provided guidance to 4 business managers. Additionally, I hired and mentored Central Office Administrators and opened a new school along with 3 homeschool programs, all contributing to effective charter school consulting.

I successfully paid off a 30-year bond in just 7 years, earning an S&P Double A rating. As the Community Superintendent of Charter Schools in Jefferson County, I provided financial counsel to help 5-6 schools achieve fiscal stability through effective budgeting and educational mentorship. One notable achievement involved assisting a school with a $700K deficit to balance its budget and remain operational, while also resolving facility issues that threatened another school’s closure.
In my role as Executive Director of Jefferson Academy & Summit Academy, I managed a $30M annual budget and built substantial reserves to pay off a $21M bond within 10 years. I also financed the Secondary Track and Grandstand project entirely with cash and purchased a building adjoining one campus. Over five years, I increased staff salaries by 36% and converted Coal Creek Canyon, a fiscally failing small mountain school, into a thriving charter school with growing enrollment and stable funding.
My efforts included collaborating with the community to raise funds, applying for and receiving a Federal grant alongside the Daniels Fund grant. I developed the Super Monday program to integrate homeschool students with traditional students and established processes within JA to ensure fiscal stability within three years. Additionally, I received 57 out of 60 points in the national evaluation of the start-up/replication federal grant, highlighting the success of my principal licensure program and overall management.
